The ten young climate change activists (bottom-left with their banner), from the youth wing of Extinction Rebellion, attached themselves to railings outside Parliament in London using bike locks (top-left). Some had megaphones (bottom-right) and were calling on the government to take action. The protest comes after independent candidates in the European elections glued themselves to the doors of City Hall earlier today. Andrew Medhurst, an ex-banker, Larch Maxey, a teacher, and Roger Hallam, a PhD student, all took part in the protest. They running as independent candidates in the EU elections as part of the Climate and Ecological Emergency Independents group.
