Here is a short overview of measles, an infectious viral disease. The most common symptom of measles is a red rash on the skin, which occurs primarily in children. However, there are longer term consequences of measles such as pneumonia, encephalitis, or subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). But, measles is nearly 100% preventable through vaccination, which I will be discussing soon!
