ATOA Aquarium is a wonderful world where art and aqua life coexist. It opened in Kobe in 2019 and features a variety of aquatic life and animals. There are digital art light projections combined with well maintained fishtanks creating a unique experience that is a must-do attraction in Kobe.

A total of eight immersive spaces await to be explored including a cave, the forest of spirits, a Japanese garden, miracle planet and a roof garden. On the roof garden there’s a café that offers a variety of refreshments while you are able to overlook the Port of Kobe. The museum also sells limited edition ATOA goods and Kobe-style souvenirs.

Opening times are 9am-8pm daily and costs 2600-2800 yen for adults depending on what time of year you visit. It costs 1500-1600 yen for children and is free for infants under 3 years of age.
