Ashwani Kumar Singh, who oversees the Shahganj police station, was suspended. A sub-inspector and three constables make up the remaining staff. On Saturday night, while police officers were bringing Ahmad and Ashraf to a hospital in the Shahganj police station area of Prayagraj for a checkup, three individuals posing as journalists shot them dead at point-blank range.
