Discover the community kitchens in Bagrami district, Afghanistan, where women are at the forefront of a transformative movement. These kitchens are more than just a source of nutritious and affordable meals; they are vibrant hubs of education, community bonding, and entrepreneurial spirit. They empower women, fostering confidence and enabling them to become influential change-makers within their communities. In collaboration with CARE Afghanistan and funding from the Government of Japan, this thriving community kitchen network supports 300 households and has created 20 job opportunities, half of which are proudly held by women. The UNDP is committed to nurturing Afghanistan's future by addressing fundamental needs, enhancing livelihoods, and building resilient communities.
