Training Splits - Organize Your Workouts

Whether you’re new or experienced in weightlifting / body building, it is helpful to understand training splits regardless of being a beginner, intermediate, or advanced lifter.

Training splits help you organize your workouts based on muscle groups. It involves how often you train each muscle as well as what you pair these muscles with. Some people like to train back with biceps or have a leg day where you train quads and glutes and hamstrings all in the same day. Some people like to switch that up where you train, maybe chest with hamstrings. The possibilities vary and you have options.

In this video we discuss beginners and the full body split. In my workout plan, Lionstrong One, we have a full body workout based on two- and three-day workout routines.

Then we move on to Intermediate level workouts. In Lionstrong Two we developed a Push / Pull and an Upper / Lower set of routines.

In advanced, things get “heavier” and since you’ve literally built a foundation through consistent workouts and gains, you’re ready to move on to more complex routines. Lionstrong Three will help you with advanced level goals.
