Another issue is apparently plaguing Israeli hospitals, and that’s intolerable working conditions. That’s why some 2500 medical students and residents today resigning from their posts. This was primarily organized by the ‘Mirsham Union for Medical Residents’. The residents are taking a stand after demonstrating that they’ve been working 26-hour shifts, often without proper breaks to rest, or even eat or go to the bathroom. And to top it off, medical students and residents are often overlooked in agreements between the health and finance ministries. So, what will become of these medical professionals, and the hospitals they carry on their shoulders?
