Last Record Keeper of Shahjahanabad

Описание к видео Last Record Keeper of Shahjahanabad

Shah Music Centre, was established in the 1930s, and is run by the third generation of the family, Syed Zafar Shah. The only shop at Shahjahanabad/Old Delhi still continues to deal exclusively in LP records and players.
The records numbering over two lakhs in his possession, Zafar believes that analog sound is the best sound, and LP records are certainly making a comeback in this digital age.
Apart from rare records from the earliest films, the shop also deals in gramophones, including the original wind-up players and the electronic record players in use until the 1980s. The shop opens daily from 10.30am to 8pm at Meena Bazar, Jama Masjid.
