Unused MGM logo (1994)

In 1994, after Credit Lyonnais seized control of MGM from Italian fraudster Giancarlo Paretti and in time for MGM's 70th anniversary, the company wanted a new CGI logo to open their films. MGM contacted Astralite Graphics to design and animate the new logo, recreating the iconic logo in 3D to give it a modern twist. The intro was fully completed and set to debut before "That's Entertainment! III", however at the last minute MGM decided to stick with their existing still graphic for unknown reasons; thus, the intro never saw the light of day... until now.
