August was filmed on location at the Young Actors’ Theatre Camp in the Santa Cruz mountains as part of an intensive week long film camp. In 2022, top industry filmmakers from New York and Los Angeles mentored young filmmakers and actors to create 11 short films in 7 days.

Founded in 2001, The Young Actors' Theatre Camp is a camp unlike any other. Noted for being one of the TOP FIVE Theatre Camps in the World, CampYATC is the only one to not hold an audition for admission. Nope, we think every kid of every talent level should be able to SHINE in the ARTS and it's our mission to teach them exactly how to do that! We teach Acting, Singing, Dance (of course) but there is so much more. Imagine if you had been able to learn about Producing, Self Creating, Writing Films, Being Behind the Camera, Directing, Costuming, Set Direction, Improvisation, Stage Combat and SO MUCH MORE - all while working on your craft as a Performer. And, as you can tell - all of our TEACHING FACULTY is Amazing!
