Yesterday at the shop I took a couple hours to revamp my little aluminum mount I made awhile back for my Livewire TS tuner and Tablet. The tablet is running Dash Commander, which is an android app that monitors and displays almost all of my engine PID's. I had to cut-out the center part of the aluminum to allow the GPS to get signal. I guess the aluminum was acting as a shunt, absorbing the incoming satellite signals. Works great now.

Still have to do some wiring into my HD receiver and install the backup camera, but glad the mount itself works. Here's a short video of the screens on the Dash Commander with the Livewire TS on top of the tablet.

In-case anyone is wonder what a Livewire TS is, it is a custom tuning device that increases both performance and fuel economy from my trucks engine. This engines normal power is 325bhp @ 560 ft.lb. of torque. I have a few different tunes, but the one I use most of the time will allow this engine to produce a little over 460rwhp @ about 800+ ft.lb. of torque. It was dyno tested when I first put the tuner in at 420rwhp @ 768 ft.lb. of torque, but that was a low performance tune and measured at the rear wheels. This tune I use is at least 40% stronger and there is anywhere from 15% to 20% loss of horsepower going through the drivetrain, so I expect to see a bit better then 460rwhp and somewhere over 525bhp .

Awful fun to drive a 7800 lb. truck that will out run most street cars -- Not that I ever have mind you.
