How to help your toddler learn his ABC's before joining the school
Getting enrolled and joining the school is a milestone in every child's life. Being a Preschool teacher for more than 25 years I have learnt that a child can really start off great if he is ready and prepared for school. Learning starts at home a parents have a vital role to play when it come to preschool preparations.
I'm of the firm opinion that a child must be guided and trained in a few areas to make his home to school transition easier. We as parents often think that everything must be taught by the school as we pay then to do the job. Yes its the school's responsibility to nurture our child's educational needs but our child can only receive what's offered by his institution when he is ready for that.
A child has to struggle with many issues in his early schooling life when he has problems of his own to deal with. It would not only interfere with his ability to pay attention at school, it will also hinder his chance of being a happy child at school.
what matters the most at this point is his comfort with transitioning process. As parents its our duty to make sure, our child does not come across unnecessary stress at the time of joining his school.
Giving some thoughtful and serious attention and little steps everyday towards the process of schooling make it very easy for both, us and our child.
