Jet2 Airbus A321-211 Lanzarote to Manchester | Full Flight

The end of a holiday is always a bitter sweet moment for any pilot or aviation enthusiast, as although it's time to go home, you still get one more flight out of it. I had this very feeling when travelling back to Manchester. Once again with Jet2, once again on the A321 and once again (unfortunately) on G-HLYF!

The coach transfer dropped us at Terminal 1 around an hour and 40 minutes before departure which is fairly late I'd say. Although, the whole ground experience in Lanzarote of bag drop, covid document check and security took around 5 minutes which was really impressive. As far as Canary Island airports go. FUE, TFS and ACE have all had seemless and pleasant experiences, so a big win there. We boarded our A321 on time and ended up pushing a few minutes early. The takeoff itself was absolutely spectacular and it was nice to get one final look at the Island. Once at cruise it was tea time and another instalment of me trying all the different Jet2 pre-order meals. Today was piri-piri chicken with jalof rice and it was definitely one of the better ones. The rest of the flight went by quickly as the sun set behind the left wing, we got a good shortcut and were eventually lined up for Runway 05L where things got interesting. Despite only being reported as 090 at 7 knots, the final approach into Manchester was very bumpy with lots of roll inputs, gusts and thrust changes. Quite a spectacular landing I have to say. We eventually parked on stand around 45 minutes early which was very impressive.

So overall, another excellent flight with Jet2, those of you who saw my previous A321 video from TFS to MAN may have noted my comment about consistency with Jet2 and these two flights to Lanzarote and back have further proved that. A seamless ground experience, a fantastic seat and cabin environment, friendly and engaging cabin crew and flight deck crew, great tasting food and fantastic punctuality, There is a reason Jet2 are my favourite airline, and this is a great example of that!
