(Episode 41) Join me again as we look at more great books from Charlton Comics! Titles reviewed include Mysteries of Unexplored Worlds, Unusual Tales, and Outer Space. Pat Massuli was the editor at this time and Joe Gill typically wrote for these titles. Artists Vince Alascia, Charles Nicholas, Bill Molno, and Sal Trapani artfully filled the pages of these sci-fi and suspense-themed comics. It was not until Dick Giordano, acting as assisting editor and artist, that Charlton began to gain more notoriety. Joe Maneely, Steve Ditko, Gene Colan who all work for Atlas/Marvel passed through Charlton and left their illustrative marks!
