Street style bombay sandwich is one of the most delicious and popular fast food of Mumbai. In this video I am sharing 2 types of street style bombay sandwiches, Bombay veg and bombay grilled sandwich.Hope you all will like both the recipes. Bombay Veg sandwich
Ingredients :
Potato- 1 small boiled and thinly sliced
Beetroot- 1 small thinly sliced and boiled till tender
Tomato- 1 medium thinly sliced
Red onion- 1 medium thinly sliced
Cucumber- 1 small thinly sliced
Chaat masala- to sprinkle
Sandwich masala- to sprinkle
Black pepper- to sprinkle
Butter
Green chutney
Tomato ketchup


Take 3 slices of your choice of bread. Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. First put thinly sliced potato, then thinly cut boiled slices of beetroot. Now sprinkle some sandwich masala, chaat masala and some black pepper powder and cover it with 2nd slice of bread keeping butter side inside. Now spread some butter and green chutney evenly on this 2nd slice of bread and put onion slices, cucumber slices and tomato slices in order. Sprinkle some sandwich masala, chaat masala and black pepper powder on top and cover it with the 3rd slice of bread. Put tooth picks on opposite sides and cut into 2 triangles. Spread some butter, green chutney and tomato ketchup on top and serve cold. Enjoy!!



Bombay Grilled Sandwich

Ingredients

3 slices of bread

For potato filling
Potato- 1 small boiled and mashed
Onions- 1/4 cup
Green chili- 1 small chopped
Fresh coriander/ cilantro- 1/4 cup chopped
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
Salt- 1/2 tsp or as
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder- 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala- 1/4 tsp
Oil- 2 tsp

For layering
Onion- 1/4 cup cut in 1” long and thin pieces
Capsicum/ green bell pepper- 1/4 cup cut into 1” long and thin julienne
Tomato- 1 small thinly sliced
1/4 cup Processed cheese- shredded
Sandwich masala
Chaat masala
Black pepper powder
Butter
Green chutney
Tomato ketchup

To make the potato filling, heat oil in a pan and put cumin seeds and let them crackle. Now add onions and green chilis and sauté for a bit. Add salt, garam masala and red chili Powder and mix well. Now add boiled and mashed potato and sauté for couple of minutes. Add chaat masala and fresh cut coriander leaves and mix. Keep the filling aside.

Take 3 slices of your choice of bread. Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. Now spread green chutney over the butter. Put a layer of prepared potato filling on one slice of bread. Spread shredded cheese over it. Cover it with the 2nd slice of bread keeping butter side inside. Now spread butter and green chutney evenly on this 2nd slice and put tomato slices, onions and capsicum in the same order and sprinkle sandwich masala, chaat masala and black pepper powder. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top and cover it with the 3rd slice of bread. Put the sandwich in a griller until done. Take out the sandwich and cut it into half. Spread some butter, green chutney and ketchup. Grilled Bombay sandwich is ready. Sprinkle some cheese on top and serve it hot. Enjoy!!
