Sonic X Shadow Generations - PC (2011) vs PC (2024) comparison

Описание к видео Sonic X Shadow Generations - PC (2011) vs PC (2024) comparison

Very brief comparison of the PC version of Sonic Generations from Steam (2011) with the new PC version included with Sonic x Shadow Generations (2024).
The new PC release runs from a separate executable (launching it from the game's folder bypasses the intro logos and the Shadow Generations launcher, although it may not respect the DLC options set).
Configuration tool has been replaced with in-game graphics options, along with proper keyboard controls and button remapping / button glyph type. Xbox 360 button glyphs have been replaced with a new neutral style.
It also seems that FMVs are at higher bitrate now, and 2D art like text/UI elements are at a higher resolution (unknown if they were AI upscaled).
Generations's main API is now DX11 instead of DX9, which introduces Borderless Fullscreen support and fixes the weird white light bug after alt-tabbing, 64-bit executable instead of 32-bit, along with some internal changes.
The game is locked to 60FPS in comparison with Shadow Generations's 120FPS.
Overall a good rerelease that can be compared with Persona 4 Golden/Persona 3 Portable's PC version, tho weird loading time increase needs to be looked into.
