Maalaala Mo Kaya Recap: Bandila (Teodoro “Loloy” Dando's Life Story)

Despite being one of the few Christians in an Islamic dominated community, Loloy Dando ignores religion whenever someone needs his help. Living a rather normal life despite the usual commotions within the area, Loloy panics when local terrorists start to sow fear in Marawi City and execute Christians on sight. Fortunately, Loloy manages to secure an escape route for his wife Grace and their son Brian, who is suffering from a fatal illness. However, Loloy finds himself unable to leave behind his fellow Christians who are in dire need of his help. Abandoning his family's escape plan, Loloy uses his Muslim friend's home as temporary refuge for his family and 35 Christian civilians trapped in the middle of a war-infested zone. For 12 grueling days, Loloy Dando desperately tries his best to shield the group from the terrorists despite having limited resources, internal conflicts within the group, and nearly uninhabitable space.
