DOMINICA 🇩🇲 | 4K Drone Footage | Caribbean Nature Island

Welcome to Dominica, the Caribbean’s “Nature Island”! Known for its breathtaking landscapes, Dominica is a paradise of lush rainforests, towering mountains, and hidden waterfalls.

Dominica is one of the least visited islands in the Caribbean and as a result is very underdeveloped compared to its neighbours such as Martinique or St Lucia. If you are someone that hates hordes of tourists and enjoys exploring the hidden gems of the world, then Dominica is just for you. We visited in the middle of August and only encountered a handful of foreign tourists throughout our 4 day stay.

The tropical island offers truly stunning mountain and rainforest scenery all the while being an island with some amazing coral reefs. Champagne beach sits atop thermal vents that spew bubbles from the sea floor creating a truly unique underwater environment while Scotts Head is where whales occasionally visit to rest.

Due to being nestled between the french oversea departments of Martinique and Guadeloupe, Dominica has developed a distinctive french/creole that is much stronger and more pronounced than the other islands of the lesser Antilles. Overall Dominica is a tropical island paradise with friendly locals and a down to earth ambiance, truly a breath of fresh air on earth.
