In a previous video, I introduced an overvoltage protection circuit that I use in my pick-and-place machine to prevent voltage spikes from regenerative braking.

The circuit works, but its minimal design makes it unsuitable for use in other projects where the overvoltage threshold needs to be regularly reconfigured.

In this video, we assess the problems with the old circuit, decide what new features are required, design a new upgraded circuit, get the device made, do some debugging, and finally test its performance.
