We know that humans are given free will but at the same time, everything has been determined by Allah SWT. How does the concept of Qadr tie in with the concept of free will?

Allah is the Creator knows and determines everything, but He has kept that hidden from us. We do not know what is written. The only thing we know is that if we do certain things, we will achieve certain things. Allah's knowledge will not force us to do anything. We have a will that was created by Allah, and it is up to us how we use it. Our will belongs to Allah because He created it. It belongs to us because we choose how we act.
