Craving a delicious, satisfying meal? Try this Flaky Paratha with Chicken Masala recipe! The crispy layers of flaky paratha paired with a rich and spicy chicken masala make for an unbeatable combination that’s perfect for lunch or dinner

Part 1: Flaky Paratha
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp oil
½ tsp salt
Water, as needed
Ghee or oil, for cooking
Instructions:
Prepare the Dough:

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, and oil. Mix well.
Gradually add water to form a soft dough. Knead it for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
Roll Out the Paratha:

After resting, divide the dough into equal portions (about the size of a golf ball).
Take one portion, dust it with flour, and roll it out into a thin circle.
Brush the surface lightly with ghee or oil.
Create Layers for Flakiness:

Fold the rolled dough in half, then fold it again to form a triangle or roll it up in a spiral shape.
Roll out the folded dough gently to form a slightly thick paratha.
Cook the Paratha:

Heat a tawa or flat skillet over medium heat.
Place the paratha on the tawa, and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, brushing with ghee or oil, until golden and flaky.
Repeat with the remaining dough portions and set aside.

Part 2: Chicken Masala
Ingredients:
500g chicken (boneless, cut into small cubes)
2 tbsp oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 green chili, finely chopped
½ cup plain yogurt (optional)
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken (optional for extra flavor):

In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with a bit of salt, turmeric, and yogurt. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the Masala:

Heat oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili, cooking until the raw smell disappears.
Cook the Chicken:

Add the marinated chicken (or plain chicken if skipping marination), and cook until it turns white.
Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt.
Stir well, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
Finish with Spices:

Add garam masala, stir, and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.


Serving
Serve the Chicken Masala with the hot, flaky Parathas. This combination is perfect with a side of yogurt or a fresh salad for a complete meal. Enjoy!
