Lüshunkou District (旅顺口区), located in Dalian, Liaoning Province (辽宁省), China, is a district with rich historical significance and modern development. Covering an area of 512.15 km², it had a population of 324,773 as of 2010. Lüshunkou, also known historically as Port Arthur and Ryojun, has played a pivotal role in international conflicts, notably during the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), due to its excellent natural harbor at the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula (辽东半岛).

Originally an unfortified fishing village, Lüshunkou's strategic importance was recognized in the late 19th century, leading to its development and fortification by foreign powers. The district witnessed significant historical events, including the First Sino-Japanese War and the Russo-Japanese War, which highlighted its geopolitical importance. After World War II, it came under Soviet administration before being returned to China in 1950, though Soviet troops remained until 1955.

Today, Lüshunkou is a testament to its complex history, with its mix of historical sites and modern development. The district administers several subdistricts, reflecting its integration into the urban fabric of Dalian. Despite modernization, parts of Lüshunkou, especially around its southern half and naval port zone, remain restricted to foreigners. The area is also home to educational institutions, including branches of Dalian Jiaotong University and Dalian University of Foreign Languages, indicating its ongoing development and importance within Dalian and Liaoning Province.
