On 6/25/2023, there was fatal boating accident which required Government Cut at Port Miami to be closed to all marine traffic while the sunken boat was salvaged. The Fisher Island Ferry Boats were diverted to the south side of Dodge Island and needed to clear the railroad and Port Miami bridges. Our compliments to the captains at the helm of the ferry boats in their maneuvering skills.
