The Scriptures, especially the Epistles, are full of “mnemonics” – things that you can commit to memory to help you encounter temptations and other life situations, and examples of how holy people pray. We should look for these things, and add them to the way we think and pray. An example is in the selection from Colossians that we read today.

I have created many prayers gleaned from the Epistles of St Paul and other scripture. They are always a work in progress, so do not “shoot the editor”, but such as they are, perhaps one or two will be edifying for you:
