Within the heart of Naples 🇮🇹

• NAPLES, ITALY in 4K: Exploring the centre of Naples, off Spaccanapoli and firstly up Via San Gregorio Armeno, otherwise known as Christmas Alley.

This street is filled with artisan workshops and shops selling a myriad nativity scenes, known as presepe.

From Piazza San Gaetano at the top of Christmas Alley and east along Via dei Tribunali to Piazza Gerolomini.

Via dei Tribunali was the main decumanus or Decumano Maggiore — that is, the main east-west street — of the ancient Greek and then Roman city of Neapolis.

The Banksy in Piazza Gerolomini has survived since 2016, albeit now protected. Maybe not so well known is there's a copy of it about 10 metres away on the same side of the square that I accidentally discovered!

Finally heading north out of the centre and into the Rione Sanità area to find 2 palazzo staircases, at Palazzo dello Spagnolo and Palazzo Sanfelice.
