✳️ 2 most common strep infections as a trigger are strep throat infection + perianal strep infection⁠

✳️ of 275 #psoriasis cases (72% plaque psoriasis, 94% guttate psoriasis), 75% with strep throat experienced worsening of their psoriasis⁠

✳️ those with psoriasis reported a sore throat 10 times more than controls in the same household⁠

From what I've seen on stool testing, there can be strep hanging out in the gut as well that could play a role⁠
