In ET&S, we continues to offer workshops to provide employees with experience in inclusive design*. By the end of FY2022, over 1,000 employees, ranging from executives and management to new hires, had participated in these workshops.
The workshops enable participants to actually collaborate with people with visual, hearing, and physical impairments, and gain insights through dialog into the inconveniences and difficulties they face and the innovations they develop. Participants look at these insights not as individual issues but as problems for society as a whole, and their joint efforts to determine the values that Sony wants to offer society transcend organizations and generations.
Inclusive design is an approach that obtains new insights into designs for all by ensuring that the needs of a wide range of users are understood and included.
