I recently posted a video about the most undervalued and underappreciated Rookie Cards of Vintage Baseball Hall of Fame players. I received a lot of feedback on that video, and one of the common topics from others, is how they feel rookie cards are overrated. Their argument was that the price of Rookie Cards is inflated to the point that they just aren't worth collecting. In some cases, the Rookie Cards are iconic and extremely recognizable. But, in other cases, a player's Rookie Card isn't overly eye appealing, but it's simply their first card.

I decided to investigate the cost/value of Rookie Cards of 20 Hall of Fame players to see if the prices really were "too high," and I found the results very interesting. The drop in price from a 1st to a 2nd year card was outrageous in many cases, and made me really need to reconsider whether Rookie Cards really are worth it.
