The sun bears are prepared for their transfer to Nyaru Menteng’s sister site, 600 kilometres away in East Kalimantan. Cubs Denny Bear and India will be leaving with five adult bears on the first convoy, and both need to be sedated for a thorough medical check. Very sharp claws make this a hazardous task for the team, and vet Greggy has to make a quick exit after an indignant India objects to being jabbed in the behind.
