Der Geher in Hamburg: Wohldorfer Wald

Описание к видео Der Geher in Hamburg: Wohldorfer Wald

I am Der Geher and went to the Ohlstedt station. From there, I walk along the last houses to Wohldorfer Wald. On and around the Kupferredder path, the walk leads along various sections of the forest. Towards the end of the path, the Kupferteich pond is reached. The path continues along the Ammersbek and ends at the Ammersbek mill pond.

The forest has been owned by the city of Hamburg since 1437 and was already an attractive destination back then. There have been hiking trails since the 18th century and the area was made accessible by a small railroad. Since 1980, the 278-hectare nature reserve has been in existence, which also merges directly into the Duvenstedter Brook and the Ammersbeker Niederung. Due to the terminal moraine landscape, the area is very diverse and is home to many animals and plants.
