15 Disney Actors Painful Prosthetics And Costumes

Disney is a world full of magic and action - but the costumes that come along with it aren’t always the most comfortable. From constricting costumes, heavy makeup, complex wigs, to heels higher than any heel should be - these Disney live-action actors have dealt with it all.
Cruella brought fashion as we’ve never seen before in a Disney film and as the saying goes, ‘Beauty is pain.’ Emma Stone dealt with heavy costumes and a very intricate mask. Emma Thompson struggled as well, dealing with high heels, champagne, and a bunch of dalmatians - yikes! When Maleficent was brought to the screen, Angelina Jolie went through a major transformation that involved painful prosthetics and custom-made leather horns. It might be many girls' dream to wear Cinderella’s glass slipper - but the reality isn’t so sweet. How did Lily James cope with a shoe that was so incredibly painful and ill-fitting? Richard Madden struggled with the size of certain costume pieces as well - his pants in particular. Diving into a whole new wardrobe for Aladdin and Jasmine saw beautiful results, but heavy and often overwhelming costumes for both Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott. Which actor didn’t wear a costume at all, but a giant motion capture suit that was made even harder to maneuver with ten-inch stilts involved?! This costume was so rough it actually affected the actor’s co-star as well, making their work together a bit tougher than they could have imagined.
These actors have smiled and worked through some VERY uncomfortable situations, but in the end, these films have looked pretty incredible. Those performers didn’t struggle for nothing!
