Merrie music in the great hall of Hoghton Tower, Lancashire, performed for the Return of the King in July 2017. Our brilliant band is playing two great tunes from Playford, Goddesses and Parsons' Farewell whilst displaying their expertise at improvisation. This wonderful event commemorated the visit of King James VI/I to Hoghton Tower in 1617. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, a whole new audience was able to discover and enjoy heritage and history in Hoghton Tower. The event was directed and produced by HistoryNeedsYou for the Hoghton Tower preservation trust.
