Tropical Plant Tour of a Jungle Garden with Canna Lily, Elephant Ears, and Banana Plants and Trees

The tropical plants have never looked better! The Canna Lily plants are growing up to 8 feet tall, the Banana plants are taller than the Australian Tree Fern. The Elephant Ears including Alocasias and Colocasias are growing more colorful and unbelievably large in my garden that is turning into a jungle of tropical plants. Come for a walk through to tour my tropical garden in California.

I have several Banana plants including my favorite Red Abyssinian Banana, Ice Cream Java Banana, Sumatrana X Cross, and Grand Nain. The Canna Lily plants are growing taller than before with some like the Stuttgart, Musaefolia, Russian Red, and Tica Yellow Princess reaching almost 8 feet tall.

The Elephant Ears are my favorite plants because of their foliage. I completed the Colocasia Royal Hawaiian Collection of plants that include the Colocasias - Diamond Head, Tropical Storm, Maui Gold, Maui Sunrise, Aloha, Blue Hawaii, Black Coral, Waikiki, White Lava, Kona Coffee, and Hawaiian Punch.

The Alocasias are growing great and I have several in my garden - Regal Shields and Mayan Mask are my favorites. The Calidora is 5 feet tall and the Odora is growing many leaves. Others include the Dark Star, Stingray, Macrorrhiza, Yucatan Princess, Portora, Sumo, and Borneo Giant

For groundcover I plant Spider plants, Purple Heart, and Tradescantia Zebrina. Helping cover the ground are Dracaena Lemon Lime and Warneckii and Stromanthe Triostars. I have more Colocasias scattered in my garden including Colocasia Bikini-Tini, Red Eyed Gecko, Sapphire Gecko, Pharaohs Mask, Electric Blue Gecko, Mojito, Jack's Giant, and Esculenta.

The biggest Elephant Ear in leaf size is the Leucocasia Gigantea. I buy my plants as starter plants and enjoy watching them grow. I also received two Hedychium rhizomes from Marylène in France. Check out her beautiful plants -    / @lejardinexotiquedecapucine7751
