A few e-mails asked what smaller satellite offices could use instead of the rack mounted servers (Dell PowerEdge R640) we recently reviewed. The T340 is a single processor server with enough power for SMB and satellite offices. Equipped with dual power supplies, dual NICs (Network Interface Cards) and drives in a RAID 1 or 5 (or better) configuration will be stable and should provide years of trouble free service.

Being a single socket motherboard, it offers 4 memory slot somewhat limiting your expansion potential.
