New documentary “Forged in Fire” shows Australia’s deep connection to Ukraine

🫡💪 ‘Forged in Fire’, a compelling documentary about Australia’s role in Ukraine’s fight to resist the Russian invasion, will be broadcast on the Nine Network this Sunday 10 December at 9pm.

The documentary has been funded via the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations’ (AFUO) Future Ukraine fund, with the Howarth Foundation as the major sponsor.

🏆 Presented by award winning journalist Chris Uhlmann, the 45 min doco features AFUO Co-Chair Kateryna Argirou talking about the role of the AFUO’s Defend Ukraine Appeal in sending much needed life-saving equipment to the frontline, and a visit to grateful internally displaced Ukrainians at AFUO Ukraine Crisis Appeal shelters in Kyiv and Irpin.

🇦🇺 The doco shows that Australian efforts - both large and small, community and personal - can make a tangible difference to the lives of Ukrainians and Ukraine’s fight against violence and aggression.
