In this video, I dive deeper into the question, Can it be used as a CAB IR Loader? Recently, I have been on the lookout for the best cab impulse responses as I tweak my guitar setup in my home studio. The TONEX Pedal has now made its way through the guitar community and many have expressed their opinions about it. It's a great, portable Amp Modeling Pedal with killer sounding guitar amps, cabs and pedals. But the question has come up MANY times, Can the TONEX Pedal be configured as a cab ir pedal? I decided to dive seep into this and test it out. There are so many great CAB IR packs out there by the like of Ownhammer, York Audio and others. IK Multimedia's TONEX platform has their own amazing speaker simulations as part of their proprietary tone models. I wanted to see if I could create customized TONED Pedal presets that contain the Cab IR only so I can pair it with my tube amps. Id possible, this could make the TONEX Pedal a very versatile cab sim pedal. In this TONES Tutorial, I take you through the steps and show you what the IRs sound with a real tube amp. Check it out!
