Made in Abyss is an ongoing manga by Akihito Tsukushi, now turned into several anime movies and having its ongoing 2nd season airing this summer 2022 (Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun) alongside Rent a Girlfriend Season 2, The Devil is a Part Timer Season 2, Call of the night, Overlord IV, among other animes.

Made in Abyss features a 12 year old Riko, in addition to Reg, Nanachi, and later Faputa in their descent into the abyss in search of Riko's mother - Lyza the Annihilator, and the truth behind her whereabouts.

As Riko, Reg, Nanachi and Faputa descend into the abyss, they're met with more and more interesting and threatening supporting characters like Ozen the immovable, Bondrewd - Lord of Dawn, Srajo - Lord of Mystery, Wakuna, Marulk, Mitty, and others; making the journey increasingly more perilous as Riko and Reg's party descend further into the abyss.
