Mashamplani - Kunjalo Kunjalo [4K Remastered]

When the iconic 90s Kwaito group Mashamplani released their hit single 'Kunjalo Kunjalo', they sought the creative vision of Sello Nahshon Khaoli who at the time had co-founded a production company with his brother called 'Meli Productions'. Meli Productions had in the 90s become a prolific and highly acclaimed production company, which was a go to music video producer for many famous musicians.

Sello Nahshon Khaoli produced, directed and edited the music video for Mashamplani 'Kunjalo Kunjalo'. The music video was filmed in Soweto and Hillbrow Johannesburg on Super 16mm Film (Arriflex camera). Cinematography was undertaken by Solly Mbele assisted by loader and gaffer Steven Ndou. The narrative theme of the music video, which is based on the lyrical content of the song, chronicles the the consequences of a conman's (Snyman) life.

The video was originally mastered in Standard definition video, but has now been restored and remastered to 4K by Sello Nahshon Khaoli courtesy of OliKha Media & O-XPC Network.

Mashamplani was founded by the legendary Mdu Masilela back in the 90s.
