We go into detail on how to use snap weights, specifically the Cabela's brand Clip on Snap Weights, as we troll Lake Sakakawea for late summer walleyes.

It appears they have discontinued making the Cabelas's brand weights, but this is basically the same with any snap weight.

You want to troll at the speed you plan to troll at, and then release the weight to the bottom. Then you can reel up accordingly to get the crankbait off the bottom.
