The first half of this match has never been released. The tape kept seizing in the video, then the tape was clogging the video heads and the picture was just snow, no picture. Patience prevailed after taking the machine apart to clean the video heads and eventually I was able to get a decent copy from the master tape. The First half is the highlights but the second half shows just the goals (which I copied) as the master tape was reused to record a subsequent match back in the 1980's.

The Coventry City V Leicester City game was recorded at Highfield Road Stadium in Coventry from the Main Stand, on Saturday 1st September 1984.

The result ended as a win for Coventry City (2 : 0) with Bob Latchford (53') and Dave Bennett (77') as scorers to a crowd of 13,322. Bobby Gould was manager of Coventry City and former Coventry City manager, Gordon Milne was manager of Leicester City.
