From the award-winning Nashville Tribute Band album JOSEPH: A NASHVILLE TRIBUTE TO THE PROPHET, produced by Jason Deere and Dan Truman. The album won "Album of the Year" at the 2006 Pearl Awards. LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER was written by Jason Deere.

Joseph said to his brother as they rode to Carthage, "I am going like a lamb to the slaughter; but I am calm as a summer's morning; I have a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward all men. I shall die innocent, and yet it shall be said of me he was murdered in cold blood."
Featuring the vocals of Jimi Westbrook (of Little Big Town), who graciously appeared on this record as a favor to his friend Jason Deere.

This project is an LDS Missionary favorite with inspirational songs about Emma and Joseph Smith and other important figures who helped usher in the Restoration.
