Subatomic particles can be classified on the basis of whether or not they respond to the strong interaction. Particles that donot respond to the strong interaction are called Leptons. They mainly consist of the electron, muon, tau and their corresponding neutrinos. On the other hand, particles that do respond to the strong interaction are called HADRONS. They are composite particles that are made up of quarks. There are hundreds of hadron particles that have been studied. Hadrons can be further classified as Mesons and Baryons based on whether or not they are made up of quark-antiquark pair or three quarks respectively. Mesons are bosons, while baryons are fermions. Neutrons and protons are baryons, while pions are meson particles. In this video, I discuss such hadron particles..
