1:00 We are at on north side of the CSX trains at the Middle Road crossing on 6 November 2021. We are looking in a southeasterly direction at the CSX Dunkirk Rail Yard watching for CSX train #I010 to appear. At 1:05 the train appears from around the curve leading from the east end of the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York. At 1:34 we can make out a mid-train DPU coming off the curve. There are flat cars with trailers on this intermodal train. After the train passes you zoom in on the end of the train as the train passes under the signal bridge. At 3:39 the train #I010 "knocks down the signal" on the Control Point on the Control Point 37 signal bridge at Mile Post 37. That means that the engines of train #I010 have passed under the Control Point 37 signal bridge. At 4:16 the lights go out on the signal bridge closest to us. As you zoom back to normal, we see the Nestle Purina dog food plant to the right of the CSX tracks.
5:04 We are at the Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York looking at an approaching CSX train. It is 6 November 2021 and we are looking at CSX train #I158 as it has just come around the curve on its approach to go under the I-90, New York State Thruway, bridge. At this point the train is over three miles west of the Berry Road crossing. As we look down the tracks, we see that train #I158 is approaching the signals at Mile Post 47. After that the train comes to the Martin/Willow Road crossing where the gates start to go down at 5:35. At 5:44 we hear the defect detector at Miles Post 49.41 in Brocton, New York start to report on your radio scanner that there are no defects on the train on track #2. The detector reports that there are 436 axels on this train and that the speed of the train is 51 Miles Per Hour. That means that train #I158 is close to two miles long. At 6:36 the engineer is blowing the horn as the train approaches the Lake Road crossing. At 7:07 the engineer starts to blow the horn for the approach to the Berry Road crossing. After the train passes Berry Road and the gates go up, you zoom in on the end of the train as it continues east. The train passes the signals at Mile Post 44.X. At 10:17 the lights on the signals at Mile Post 44.X go dark because there are no trains in the blocks adjacent to the signals. At 10:30 the gates at the Van Buren crossing start to rise since the train is now beyond the crossing. You zoom back to normal and we see your shadow on the ground. 12:54 We are at the southeast corner of Park Avenue and West Third Street along the elevated tracks through Dunkirk, New York on 5 November 2021 as we see the headlight of CSX train #I008 approaching through the leaves of the trees. We watch CSX train #I008 pass our location.
14:35 It is 5 November 2021 and we are at the CSX Berry Road crossing in Pomfret, New York. CSX train #I009 is approaching from the east. At 14:41 the engineer blows the horn to warn of the train's approach. There are trailers in addition to the usual containers on this train. After the train passes, you zoom in on the train. CSX train #I009 has both the Lake Road and the Martin/Willow crossings blocked. At 17:25 the gates go up at the Lake Road crossing. As the train continues west, it passes the Martin/Willow Road and then goes past Control Point 47 at CSX Mile Post 47.2. You zoom back to a normal view. At 18:40 you step in front of the camcorder to take about some of your recent videos.
19:16 It is 6 November 2021, we are looking east from the CSX Middle Road crossing. The Nestle Purina dog food plant is lit up on the right side of the tracks. We see CSX train #Q367 coming toward the Middle Road crossing. At 19:22 the engineer blows the horn to warn that the train is coming. We watch the train as it passes the Middle Road crossing. When you follow the train as it goes west, we see that the sky is not as dark as it appeared when the train was approaching the Middle Road crossing. When the follow the train as it goes west, we see that the sky to the west is still an orange color due to the setting sun. After the train is totally gone, you pan up to the moon which is a sliver of a crescent moon. You zoom in and out on the moon. At 22:45 your outro begins and you end the train video.
