An excerpt of part of ReAct Theatre's 2017 Seattle Premiere of the play Perfect Arrangement by Topher Payne. Set in Washington D.C. in the 1950's during the "Lavender Scare" the play centers around two LGBTQ couples who avoid unwanted public attention by posing as two heterosexual couples to the outside world. Living in a duplex connected by a secret walk through closet, Millie & Bob and Norma & Jim, are actually Millie & Norma and Bob & Jim behind closed doors. But their idyllic lifestyle arrangement comes into question when current issues come to bear, and past secrets come to light. This comedic drama was directed by Rachel Rene, and features the multi-ethnic talents of Zandi Carlson, Julia Beers, Jedidiah Mathre, Parker Kennedy, Casey Floresca, John Coons and Steph Sola. This play was a last minute substitution for our season, using the same cast from an alternate cancelled production. It was performed in the Studio Theatre at 12th Avenue Arts.
