Hot Ones "The Last Dab Reduxx" Hot Sauce Review

At last, the paragon of hot sauce culture comes back to us with another entry in their $20 superhot series "The Last Dab". This sauce has been laying waste to celebrities on Hot Ones for weeks now, but how does it stack up when faced with the dreaded Chili Chunn cutting board?

Featuring an insanely-dense concentration of Pepper X and Chocolate Pepper X, this sauce could more fairly be called a seasoned pepper mash. Thick as molasses (even thicker, really) and richly aromatic, the notes of ginger and turmeric come through and complement this unusual pod flavor very nicely.

This is a very, very hot sauce with a very unique burn. Reminiscent of the last Death Nut, a pronounced mouth-numbing and extremely deep burning sensation make this memorable. A wash of peaceful endorphins crashes in early in the proceedings, lending assistance to work through what can only be called an existential burn.

When it hits a chicken wing, it does let down a bit due to its lack of salt and vinegar content. Missing just a little bit of flavorful punch, a lot of the aroma gets lost in the wash when poured over food. The heat is not, but all in all this one is much better as a one-off pod-tasting experience rather than an actual hot sauce.

Definitely worth $20 as a collector's item, novelty, and chilihead weapon.
