Implant Open Tray Impression Technique Prep

Here I'm just prepping for the implant/tooth supported FDP preparation using an open tray impression coping. The tray has to be minimally prepared in order to access the coping screw once the impression has fully set. If we had a closed tray coping - things would be different!
This is a 3i implant and quite frankly, the design of the implant system is not the best - restoratively and placement speaking. The "little fingers" that are at the apical portion of the abutment are a point of contention w/ both clinicians and lab techs. They bend easily if the abutment is not placed into the lab analog or implant body properly, and the abutment can spin easily if seating is difficult due to soft tissues, etc. Compare to Nobel Biocare, which is really simple - 3 huge cams that can only be placed in 3 ways - 2 which are incorrect.
