The New Zealand Human Rights Commission proposes new conditions under NZ law in relation to sex and gender.

The proposal is based on pop psychology, legal falsehoods and misconceptions about sex and gender.

The proposals erase legal protections for actual women and extend men's rights, attempting to gain a win for the men's rights movement.

The Law Commission’s recommendations include amending some of the exceptions to clarify that the provisions do not allow people to be excluded from spaces that match their ‘gender identity’. This would include toilets and changing facilities, women’s refuges and rape crisis centres, and women’s prisons.
