What Secretly Happens to Your Soul When You Pray?

This inspirational class teaches some incredible secrets about prayer. When we pray, angels carry our prayers up to heaven, and carry them on the path they need to go in order to reach God’s throne. But there’s on little problem - the place where the prayers reach, is so holy, that not even the angels can go there! So how can they carry the prayers there if they are forbidden to enter? And not only are they forbidden to enter, but if they try, they will be burnt by the holiness and purity of the place of God’s throne. So what happens, how do the prayers reach God? The incredible answer is that the angels make the prayers swear that they will go straight to where they need to go, and then they send them that last bit of their journey on their own. And we are those prayers! Our prayers are our spirits and souls! They are our very selves! And when we pray, we are entering into the holiest chambers, into the heavenly chamber of God’s throne where not even angels are allowed to enter! Just by simple, honest prayers, asking Hashem (God) for help, asking God for guidance, asking for a relationship with God, telling God about our day, by the simplest and most sincere prayers, we are standing literally face to face with God, in a way that not even the angels can do. May of the most righteous men, the holiest men, the holiest tzaddikim, with all of the holy torah that the learned, with all of the kabbalah and secrets of the torah and secrets of the Zohar that they learned, finally admitted that what really truly helped them achieve their lofty spiritual levels and spiritual achievements, was the simple personal prayers with God, called Hitbodedut. The simple prayers and the simple faith, that is what really helped their souls more than all of their mystical knowledge. This is why the Satan tries to attack this first! The first thing the devil and his army do is distract a person from praying, and telling him to rely on people instead of relying on God alone. So if this is what they are trying to steal, this is what we need to protect; Hitbodedut (prayer) and Emunah (Faith).
