Ok, this is almost a new haven story. It’s quick, but we will be back around here soon talking about G.S.B., the guys coming from Goodrich street. But for now, let’s just break the ice with a story from where some used to refer to as, gun blazin new haven. A violent gangster known by the nickname, Trouble, who is accused of assassinating two hostages and a witness in an aborted gun deal seven years ago, is scheduled to be tried in Bridgeport early next month and faces life in prison if convicted. Federal prosecutors said Edward Michael Parks is known to law enforcement both in Connecticut and around his home in Raleigh North Carolina, as a high-ranking member of the Bloods street gang. In a chilling memo filed in U.S. District Court in connection with his upcoming trial, the prosecutors laid out what happened in the gun deal-gone-wrong at a bedroom of a house on Shelton Avenue in New Haven. Parks, 33, had weapons displayed on a bed for a half dozen or so potential customers when two of the would-be buyers grabbed two weapons and took off. That happened on the evening of Nov. 16, 2015, but Parks wasn’t indicted until December 2019, when law enforcement found him in a prison in North Carolina, where he has a history of gun and drug arrests.
