Chicken Coop “Litter Box” | Cleaning Out The Coop & Poop Catcher | Sneak Peek of Our Next Project!

In this video Michelle shows you how we clean our coop, replace the pine shavings for sand, and the construction of our “chicken coop litter box.”

For the chicken poop catcher we used:

1”x2” trim pieces (the length will depend on how long your roosting bar is!)

1”x12” plastic coated board(s) (like a material you would use in a kitchen or bathroom shelf, again in whatever length you need based on how long your roosting bar is.)

Make sure your catching board is wide enough to catch the poop! I would see how your girls typically sit on the roost and have the board positioned to cover where they would normally poop!
